This is just a quick guide, for those of us who have never roleplayed before.
When you Role Play, your actions and thoughts/speech should be seperate. Set it out like this:
For Example: General Angryman triumphantly marched down the halls, sneering at anyone untidy or relaxed. Standards here have definitely dropped. He thought. Why, back in my day, people had honour, and standards, and... What's this?!
He noticed a teenager laying down on a windowsill. Furiously, he started shouting.
"You there! Boy!" he roared.
The boy scrambled to his feet, and saluted the general, with a panicked expression on his face.
"Yes, S-Sir?"
The words are seperated by "" and the actions are not. Please remember this. Also, if you are speaking to a NPC then be sure to write their speech in a different color so people won't get it confused with your own.
When you are speaking out of Character you must use the following: (OOC: I'm speaking out of character right now!) Though try to avoid using this too often, if you want to chat out of character, use the chatbox, or the general chatting sections of the board.
